The colder weather is coming and I am trying to do everything to stay healthy for this next season. I like to stay stress-free and keep my energy up so I have found the secret ingredients to sustain me. I am also eating as many superfoods and adaptogenic mushrooms to my diet. Let me explain why..


As many of you already know, superfoods are called this for a reason. These are foods with high antioxidants and nutrients that provide a boost of energy and keeps you healthy- and momma definitely needs this in her life. They also have many more health benefits such as decreasing heart disease, cancer and boosting your immune system. To get the full benefits, it’s best to consume superfoods in their natural state. Below, I have listed the top foods that classify as superfoods.

Berries: Blueberries, Goji berries, Acai berries

Beans: Soy, Peas

Leafy Greens: Kale, Spinach, Collard greens

Sweet Potato

Nuts: Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios, Macadamia


Seeds: Sunflower, Pumpkin, Chia, Flax, Hemp




Adaptogenic Mushrooms

Have you guys heard of these? I’ll be honest, it’s new to me. Mushrooms have healing properties that can reduce stress in your body and support your immune system. They are adaptogens, which means they help our bodies adapt to environmental and psychological stress. They basically are like tiny soldiers in your body that attract to the places where your body is stressing and help fix it. You can purchase different kinds and they each target different things, like focus or stress. It’s really interesting and I advice you guys to do some research on this to learn more so that you can use them too.

I recently purchased some different powered brands of mushrooms to add to my food when cooking, or even mix into morning smoothies and coffee. There isn’t a strong taste to it, so it’s easy to bring into your diet. I listed below the kinds that I bought!
