How to Make Sweet Laurel’s Delicious Double Chocolate Brownies

These brownies are rich and fudgy, and the perfect brownie staple for every household. *Recipe yields about 24 brownies.

Ingredients

2 cups almond butter

2 eggs (or two flax eggs for vegan)

1 ¼ cup maple syrup

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cacao powder

1/2 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

Parchment paper

1 cup Sweet Laurel chocolate chips

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Prepare an 8×8 pan by lining it with parchment paper. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the maple syrup and nut butter for about 1 minute, then slowly add eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Add cacao, baking soda, and salt. Mix until well incorporated. Add chocolate chips, reserving some for the top.
  5. Pour batter into 8×8 pan lined with parchment paper. Bake about 35-40 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
