A Delicious Smoothie For Post Delivery

After giving birth, self-care is the last thing on our minds. But it’s so crucial. Our bodies go through a lot over those 9 months, physically and mentally. In order to be the best momma you can be, health and wellness should be a priority.

A little fact: A LOT happens to the body after delivery…not just during pregnancy. The uterus needs to contract back into it’s original size, torn tissues need to heal, and the transition to breastfeeding occurs. That’s a lot! So we need all the proper nutrition we can get.

With that said, I’d like to introduce you to my fabulous nutritionist, Kelly LeVeque (aka Be Well By Kelly). She’s already been prepping me for my post-baby nutrition plan and has given me this AMAZING recipe I’d like to share with any mommas that just gave birth or about to. It helps heal, replenish, and tastes delicious…even if you didn’t just have a baby!

Ingredients:

  • 1 serving vanilla collagen or pea protein (if you use plain collagen add vanilla stevia drops to taste)
  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • ¼ avocado
  • handful of spinach
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • pinch of black pepper

Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender.

Since Kelly is helping me lose this baby weight, make sure to keep following the blog, my YouTube channel (
