Brooksie’s Batman Birthday

Our little Brooksie Boo is THREE YEARS OLD! I seriously cannot believe it. This past year has flown by so quickly!

If you remember from last year, Brooks was OBSESSED (well, still is) with Curious George. So we had a full-on bash with “monkey” as our guest of honor. Well, this year there was a new man of the hour … BATMAN! When I say this little one is obsessed with Batman … I mean he’s really, really obsessed. Between the Batman mask that he refuses to take off to playing Batman and Robin (or Batman and Batman), picking this year’s theme was a piece of cake.

Speaking of cake … Annie Campbell has done it again. Can you believe how amazing this cake is? Not only was it perfect for the theme, it was soooo delicious. It’s pretty obvious Brooksie thinks so, too!

Once again, I knew our house would be filled with a herd of children. This only meant one thing to me: activities, activities, and more activities. I’m not going to lie…we picked a theme and definitely committed. Fire and Crème (@fireandcreme) came through with a full on DIY Batman Cape table. Everyone had so much fun making their own cape and even more fun running around like mini superheroes! My precious boy even let his momma help him. How much longer can I say that!? Let’s just pray we still have a few more years.

In my opinion, it’s not a party unless there’s a little face painting action. Even with all the options, Brooksie opted for the Batman sleeve. I mean, of course! Look at that finished product. Are we sure he’s not the real Batman?

The face painting was brought to us by our friends at FABartFX (@fabartfx) They also supplied the balloon animals and the airbrush tattoos!

Okay, so let’s talk about the food! The amazing Annie Campbell also did the catering. I can’t even tell you how many times I heard people raving about the tacos in particular. Literally out of this world!

I wanted to make sure I added a little touch of Batman Brooksie to every last bit of this celebration … including the silverware!

Just because it’s a party for the little ones doesn’t mean the adults can’t have a little fun, too! I always make it a priority to make sure everyone is having the best possible time. I made sure to have some drinks flowing for those parents who might need a little margarita mid-party! Between the cuisine and the cocktails … it was safe to say that everyone was fully enjoying themselves!

Even though there was A LOT going on activity wise, it was still a pool party! And it was super hot that day so it was needed. Thanks Royal Velvet for the black towels to complete our Batman theme. It really added a great touch. It also made for a great cape post pool session!

We sent the kids home with the CUTEST Batman backpacks from Pottery Barn Kids. They are perfect for school starting in the Fall. A party favor that’s useful for parents and fun for kids? Yes, please!

Thank you, Stefanie Cove (follow her on instagram @stefcove), for being a party planning genius and the entire YOA production team. You are simply amazing! Also, a huge thank you to all our friends and family who made Brooksie’s day as special as it was. We love each and every one of you!
