Kid Approved Valentine’s Day Treats and FUN!!

My sweetest little Valentine, Brooks and I had ourselves a Valentine’s themed lunch date!  We enjoyed our meal al fresco (AKA our backyard) and we had the most delightful afternoon.  We got a little crafty and made cards for the grandparents and a pretty wreath for the front door.

I will admit, I’m slightly OB-sessed with decking out the kid table for every season and if you gave it a try at your house I think you would be too.  On my post about the Christmas kid table, I break down the basics and give you the 411 on making your little’s table the best on the block.  The key to any of it is that it doesn’t have to be over the top.  It’s all about kids having a good time. Our Valentine’s Day table was all about stickers, stamps and crayons.  So easy, inexpensive and pretty!

Don’t get hung up on trying to hand make everything!  You have to choose your battles. Being a mom by definition means that time is an incredibly precious commodity.  You will drive yourself to the brink of insanity if you try to make everything from scratch.  I, like all moms, do my very best to feed Brooks healthy wholesome meals and snacks.  That’s why I’m so glad for brands like Udi’s who make healthy and delicious food.  Udi’s is gluten free and fabulous! For Brooks’ playgroup I took Udi’s brownie bites and dressed them up with gold cupcake wrappers and the cutest love arrow toppers that I bought in New York at one of my favorite stores, ABC Home.  Talk about cupcake treat chic!
