How To Wear Tribal Prints This Spring

This season on the trend report, it’s all about prints. Specifically, designers are bringing them more bright and vibrant than ever. It’s like a breath of fresh air! I generally like to wear bright colors to begin with but add a print to the mix? I’m all in. You know the saying, “Dress how you want to feel?” Well, wearing bright colors makes me feel like I’m constantly on a beach retreat. So, there you have it!

While I was in Mexico, I paired these tribal pants from Poupette St. Barth with a solid white blouse to avoid being too print crazy. I know, there’s really such a thing! It’s all about balance. I couldn’t resist adding this AH-mazing bag from The Little Market in the mix though. If you haven’t heard of this brand, you must check them out. Each of their vendors’ work with over 6,000 artisans, and the sale of their products generate meaningful income for the artists and the communities around them. All of their bags are handmade in Mexico by local artists. It’s my new spring/summer staple!

If you’re not so keen on bright colors, these prints also come in a variety of muted tones. On the runways, many designers such as Valentino (see below) and Isabel Marant (see above) took this tribal theme and used a darkened palette such as dark blues, blacks, and gorgeous pastels.

If you’re up to try this tribal trend, here are some great pieces to start with. Pair with a classic white top or go all out with accessories and a bright sandal. Either way, it’s a perfect look for both spring and summer.
