Tips From Tracy: How to Get Fit in 2013 + a Giveaway

You might remember Tracy Anderson from the series of workout video blogs we did together when I was pregnant with Brooks. I’ve been working out with Tracy for over four years now, and I haven’t stopped sweating since I met her! She’s pushed me past multiple workout plateaus and has been instrumental in helping me drop the baby weight these past few months. Today we’re all in for a real treat because not only is Tracy sharing her tips for getting fit in 2013, but she’s giving away some of her amazing Wellness Formula Shake mix. 1. What diet and exercise tips do you have for someone looking to drop a few pounds in the New Year?
Focus, commitment, and consistency are the most important elements. Anyone can drop a few pounds, but to keep it off you need an exercise program that delivers the tools and support you need. Also, you have to carve out the time; it takes working out four to six days a week to really make it happen.

2. What's your advice for keeping your fitness resolutions all year long?
Being fit doesn't come easy for anyone—we all have to work hard at it. Set alarms and reminders so that you don't let yourself out of working out. Working out at home can be such a gift, but you have to really set up the space. The great thing about my program is that you can start it with nothing but a mat or towel and some three-pound weights. It doesn't have to be complicated, but you have to put care into your resolutions.

3. What’s your go-to healthy snack?
I am a huge fan of the Vitamix blenders for quick and healthy snacking. I put in two scoops of my Wellness Formula Shake, a small container of Harmless Harvest coconut water, equal parts H2O, a pitted date, and some cinnamon—and I am out the door and feeling great!

4. What can we expect to see from the Tracy Anderson Method in 2013?
2013 is a big year! We are opening our largest studio yet in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. We are also opening a fresh juice bar and rolling out a national food program. I am filming many new workout videos this year (both beginning and advanced), and we are launching a few amazing new pieces of gym equipment. The list goes on, but as always we are super focused on giving people all of the tools they need to look and feel their best!
