Spring 2014 Runway Report: Part 2

Before New York Fashion Week begins and we start to talk about Fall 2014 trends, I wanted to touch on some of my fav, fav, fav looks from Spring. Yesterday, I dished on why pink and global influence are two of the AB-solute best looks, but today it's all about metallic and denim button ups. On to the trends!

Trend: Metallic

O. M. G. DY-ing over these metallic looks from these designers! I mean, give me a pair of heels and metallic anything and I’m a happy girl. Metallic fabric can be intimidating, but with the right place to wear it and some serious confidence, it can be an AH-mazing show-stopper. Both this silver metallic mini and green sweatshirt are from Topshop. These are definitely taking metallic to the max, but I’m kinda OB-sessed. For a more subtle metallic touch, these Alice & Olivia and Sam and Lavi dresses both offer a really classy way to accent the trend in your wardrobe.

Trend: Denim Button Ups

One trend that I think is a super easy go-to is the denim button up shirt. It’s such an effortlessly chic look, and can seriously be worn so many different ways. I personally love it tucked in to a different colored denim with a great belt and flats. It can even be dressed up tucked into a nice pair of black jeans and pointy pumps. Any of these looks are a really fun, super stylish trend to try this spring. I love this button up by Replay. The neon paint splatter adds a really fun and artsy feel to the top. The Mavis Jeans Co. and Current Elliotttops are both really good go-to denim tops, and I love how classic the shades of blue are. Finally, this Frank And Eileen shirt is one of my fav, fav, favs. It looks like a denim button up but feels like a really soft cotton. And I like that the color and fabric is a little different than your traditional denim shirt. It’s a MUST to mix up your wardrobe with the classics and edgier pieces.

There are so many more AH-mazing trends to look out for this upcoming Spring ’14.  Style.com and Harpers Bazaarwill give you the ultimate fashion down low with everything you’ll need to know to stay on trend.
