Southern Hospitality: My Super Bowl Soiree

EntertainingMollyComment

It's that time of year, ladies: The Ravens against the Niners; brother against brother. Super Bowl Sunday is a BIG deal where I come from! But whether you’re a true football fan or just pretend to watch the game for the sake of the men in your life (my husband lives for football), it’s time to put on your hostess cleats and feed the troops. Since Super Bowl XLVII is in New Orleans, I’m using Mardi Gras as inspiration for my own Super Bowl soiree. Don’t be afraid to a little Cajun flavor this year! Here’s a sneak peek at what I’ll be serving…

1. Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip. You can have a Super Bowl party without spinach artichoke dip! I always provide carrot and celery sticks for dipping in addition to tortilla chips.

2. Ham & Cheese Pretzel Bites. I can’t wait to dig into these! They’re a little classier than pigs in a blanket and just as tasty.

3. Chili Bar. I am obsessed with the whole idea of a chili bar. Not only is it adorable, but there’s something for everyone. Just include turkey dogs, vegetarian dogs, and other healthier options in addition to traditional hot dogs.

4. Nachos Gone Gourmet. These are not your average nachos! Amp up this classic football snack with toppings like grilled steak and fresh salsa or butternut squash and goat cheese.

5. Hurricanes. It’s time to let loose and have a hurricane or two. This classic New Orleans beverage has only three ingredients—dark run, passion fruit syrup, and lemon juice—and it’s delicious.

I started a Pinterest board full of Super Bowl party inspiration if you’re looking for a few more fun ideas!

What are your plans for Super Bowl Sunday?

Love Molly
