#MetGala 2016: My Best Dressed

Every May, the Metropolitan Museum of Art plays host to one of the most AH-mazing parties - the #MetGala, aka fashion’s Oscars!

The party serves as the official opening of the Costume Institute’s newest exhibition and really allows designers, celebrities, and models to dress to the theme. I was watching the red carpet with rapt attention, of course, and just HAD to pick out a few of my fav, fav, favs for you!

This year, Taylor Swift, Idris Elba, and the chief design officer of Apple, Jonathan Ive, joined Anna Wintour to host the opening of Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. As a co-host, T.Swift seriously stunned in her custom Louis Vuitton number. And can we talk about those shoes??

Silver gowns were out in full force. Hannah Davis chose Zuhair Murad while Kendall Jenner wore Atelier Versace and Kate Upton dressed up in Topshop.

It was the Olivier Rousteing army that really stole the silver show. Cindy Crawford, Jourdan Dunn, Alessandra Ambrosio and Kylie Jenner appeared with the Balmain designer. Can we talk about Jourdan’s beaded body of armor?

Queen Bey (in Givenchy) can officially do no wrong. I love, love, love this woman.

Just moments before she stepped on the red carpet, Naomi Watts posted an Instagram photo, describing her silver gown with floral accents as a Burberry gone techno moment, and she couldn't be more accurate.

Sienna Miller looked like an AB-solute rose gold goddess on the red carpet in her strapless, embellished Gucci gown.

The couple who really embraced the theme as Gigi Hadid in Tommy Hilfiger and her cute boyfriend Zayn Malik, in Versace. Those metal arms to match her metallic bodice? So good.

Okay Emma Stone, way to kill it with the darker hair AND the Prada pairing of crisp white and metallics.

Gotta say, I am AB-solutely loving this Zac Posen number on Katie Holmes, but what really speaks to me is that ‘70s inspired stick straight hair she’s rocking!

Pants were once so not ok for the Met Gala, but that antiquated rule’s gone out the window … and thankfully so! Emma Watson’s Calvin Klein collection pantsuit and train was simply stunning. The style’s becoming a go-to for Emma – she’s worn the pants under a skirt look at least three times before – at the Golden Globes, the premiere of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and this past weekend’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner!
