Who else watched the Oscars on Sunday? Did anyone watch my live red carpet coverage here on the website? I think there’s something just magical about the Oscars! Incredible films, fabulous dresses—what more could you ask for, right?
I started off my Oscar Sunday co-hosting Toast to the Red Carpet LIVE! before heading over to Vanity Fair’s annual Oscar soiree. I wore a dress by Azzaro accented with jewels that aimed to complement the gorgeous gunmetal embellishment on the gown, and finished off the look with a pair of gunmetal Louboutins. I loved the dress’s flattering neckline, the sexy slit right up the middle, and of course, the fact that it was flowy enough to fit over the bump—which isn’t an easy task when you’re 5 ½ months pregnant! The jewelry was all by one of my absolute favorite jewelry designers, Lorraine Schwartz. Lorraine dressed me personally on Sunday and just I adore her unique, modern style. I even wore her designs on my wedding day!
While you may not find yourself on the red carpet, that doesn’t mean you can’t let elements of your favorite red carpet looks inspire you the next time you go out. Here’s how to get my Oscar party look without spending a fortune. I think this outfit would be perfect for a date at a nice restaurant, a cocktail party or a rehearsal dinner for a wedding.
