Golden Globes: My Best Dressed List

If I can put it as a simply as possible—last night was AH-mazing. I love award season. It’s the time when the industry gets together and recognizes remarkable talent; it’s also the time when fashion takes center stage on the red carpet.

I didn’t attend the Golden Globes this year but I did attend the InStyle after party. It’s one of my favorites!

While getting ready at home, I still made sure to catch the red carpet coverage. Oh, and I took notes for Best Dressed of course!

When it comes to red carpet looks, I love a pop of color. And as far as color is concerned … Jennifer Lopez KILLED it! Yellow is a hard color to pull of and I’ll be honest—J. Lo in Giambattista Valli was a dream.

Speaking of “pop of color”, I was OB-sessed with Jennifer Lawrence in Dior . Can Amy Schumer and J Law please unveil their much-needed collaboration finally? Thanks!

The Golden Globes always calls for a little sparkle. Kate Hudson in this sparkling peach Michael Kors was absolutely perfect.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also glowed in Versace.

On the more understated end of the color spectrum, I love, love, loved Rooney Mara’s blush tone Alexander McQueen gown. I mean, is it any surprise I can’t resist a little fringe? There’s something so delicate and romantic about the fringe/blush tone pairing.

As far as trends, it’s obviously the year of the capes. Emilia Clarke (in Maison Valentino, Saoirse Ronan (in Saint Laurent, and J.Lo in Giambattista Valli) donned a gown with a cape…along with a few others. I’m definitely all on-board for the haute couture style.

Who were your picks for Best Dressed?
