Get Crafty: DIY Floral Letter Fun

As I mentioned in my last DIY themed post about flower arrangements, Scott and I wanted to be mindful of our budget in certain areas for Brooks’ 2nd birthday party so that we could focus our attention on great activities for the kids.  We also wanted a fun and impactful birthday sign in the back yard and knew we needed some DIY love to tackle our dilemma.  Not only did we solve our problem, I think we hit it out of the park.

These letters turned out so cute and were beyond easy to make (my FAVORITE type of DIY project). Will you believe that a glue gun is not even involved?  You just need a stapler.  It is really that easy!!! You could literally use this idea for almost any type of event from baby shower to birthday.  You could play with color in so many ways on this project.  The potential is FAB.

DIY Floral Letters

Materials:

Directions:

  • Fluff paper pompoms
  • Staple in varying colors to each letter until full.  (approximately 10- 16 flowers per letter)
  • To rig on a wall or bush: You will need a 2×4 piece of wood and you screw each letter to the wood from the back. Use heavy duty fishing line to hang.

So easy, right?!?!  I really loved how it turned out.  As you can see Brooks did, too!!

I hope everyone is enjoying the last days of summer.  I know we are.  Brooks starts pre-school really soon and I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little nervous. I have a feeling this Momma will be shedding some tears at drop-off.  Where did the time go?  Do you have any tips to share for the first day of school?  Tell me EVERYTHING!!!
