Emese’s Beauty Must Haves | Mid-Summer Night’s Dream
I am so, so, so excited to introduce one of my best and dearest friends, Emese Gormley aka “The Product Whore.” I mean this in the best way possible! I love products but nobody loves products like Emese does. She’s my go-to gal for anything involving beauty and I’ve got her on speed dial! That’s why we decided she literally HAD to share her latest and greatest obsessions. Right here. Right now.
When Molly asked me to share some of my favorite products on her site, I’m not going to lie - I was more than a little excited. I could talk beauty all day long, but there is only so much my husband wants to listen to. Since Molly is usually my audience, what better treat than to share with her audience? Hope you enjoy!
It’s that time of year - we’re halfway through summer, which is always bittersweet. We know fall is upon us, but we’re still getting in as much beach time as we can. This is also the time of year that I realize my skin has taken a beating - even though I slather on sunscreen daily.
One of my biggest skin goals is to keep it looking fresh and glow-y, even when it’s been parched by the sun. So here are a few of my favorites to rehab our skin from the sand and sun:
I love the Vanilla - it’s not too cupcake-y and it softens my perfume a little bit which I kinda love. My own scent combo. It really moisturizes your skin and gives it a sheen without being greasy. You can feel the lotion melt into your skin and it soothes any dry patches. Plus - anything from St. Barth’s is automatically chic, no???
Instead of using a drying cleanser to wash my face at night, I put Bioderma Crealine on a cotton pad and get some strange satisfaction seeing all the dirt and gunk from the day come off. Without the drying factor of a cleanser.
This is magic. It doesn’t smell great but let me tell you, it gives you a facial in 10 minutes at home. Just trust me. All skin types can use this bad boy and it just gives life back to your skin.
I have yet to find a TM that I love as much as this. And for those that know me, I am not loyal to beauty products so when I AM - it’s a winner winner chicken dinner. It gives a little more coverage than the average tinted moisturizer without compromising the natural look it gives yours skin. It glows and looks dewy - not like a grease pit. I could write a book about this ONE product.
We all have a bit of color on our skin this time of year, so I hate to say it, but why not play it up? This little tube should be called Liquid gold - because it really is. It’s a soft shade of shimmery pink that you can use as blush or highlighter - or as Molly showed me after I made her buy it, it’s a gorgeous eye shadow as well. Just a beautiful shot of light to your face.
