When Molly’s trainer, Laura Keller isn’t lifting dumbbells or pushing her clients for another burpee, she’s on a plane off to a new destination. She’s the type of woman who already has her next destination planned while she’s on a trip. We asked Laura to share her favorite tips while on a budget and stay comfortable.
Molly and I are HUGE fans of these leggings. Aside from them looking cute, they keep you from getting sausage cankles on a long flight. In my opinion, they run a little big, so I’d size down for proper compression. Plus, they’re a super eco-friendly company!
Keep your feet from swelling on flights. If you don’t have them in your travel bag, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life! You can thank me later. Compression socks are specifically designed to apply pressure to your lower legs to help maintain blood flow and reduce discomfort and swelling… perfect for a long flight!
I love compressible pillows while traveling. It deflates down to nearly nothing and can fit in a purse so you don’t have to walk around wearing a neck pillow. I suggest not inflating it fully so it can become any shape you need for awkward plane sleeping.
I love an eye mask more than anyone but the trick is a silk eye mask. I’m honestly able to get my beauty sleep regardless of the duration of the flight. Silk masks protect your skin from the effects of tossing and turning while protecting your eyes from the light.
I hate the way that most ear plugs look and these are so chic and pretty much unnoticeable.
Noise cancelling headphones are such a must while traveling. I don’t love wearing the headphones that they provide on the plane so I always bring my own. I’m a bit of a germaphobe so this is pretty essential for me.
A lot of people don’t know about this, but Priority Pass is an international airport lounge access. It’s an absolute game changer!
This one is THE BEST! It works worldwide so you don’t need to worry about getting different adapters for different countries. Plus, it has the USB plug so you can charge your iPhone or iPad into it as well.
Molly and I are OBSESSED with this portable charger, we don’t go anywhere without it. This charger provides almost three-and-a-half iPhone 8 charges or two-and-a-half Galaxy S8 charges.
Whether you’re a single woman or a mother, a crossbody bag is essential for traveling. I always want to make sure that my hands are free so I can grab something last minute.
Next time you guys get a on plane, make sure you follow Laura’s tips to ensure you have a comfortable flight to your destination.
