Crushing On Red Velvet

I’m all about wearing one piece multiple ways. It’s something that my stylists and I always work on. Right now, I’m loving the crushed velvet look. You can wear a piece on it’s own as a dress or as a coat. It all depends on the occasion.

In my first look, we chose to pair this Retrofete robe dress with a simple white camisole, M.i.h. jeans, Stuart Weitzman heels and a Jimmy Choo bag. This is a great look for a causal dinner or birthday party. It gives off an effortless look while still having it all together.

Now to transition to evening. I love that you can wear this dress for two different purposes. Retrofete is really blowing up lately and I wish I could own all of their pieces. Their dresses are youthful but not inappropriate. If you want to invest in one piece this year, I would definitely get a dress from Retrofete. But make sure it’s one that you can wear year round, for any occasion. .

I wanted to throw in a few other evening look great with a simple black camisole and jeans. Below, I’m wearing a velvet cape by Valentina Shah and the duster is by August Getty.

I chose to wear the same jeans as I did above to show how you can wear the same basics but the look will drastically change from daytime to nighttime just by adding a back camisole as opposed to a white one.
