Collagen Pineapple Mint Smoothie Recipe

I'll tell you this... I'm having the best time in Cabo with my family in friends! We've been swimming, golfing, sight-seeing and so much more! One thing that we've been basing our days around is our meals. Something that's been consistent for me every day is my collagen pineapple mint smoothie.

It's really easy to get caught up with eating poorly when you're taking a break from reality. I aways try to continue to eat as clean as possible with smoothies and supplements.

This recipe that I'm sharing with you is beyond refreshing and pretty nutritious. The pineapple contains high amounts of Vitamin C and manganese. Tropical fruits are also a great way to incorporate fiber and bromelain (an anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling agent).

The mint is not only in there for taste, but for health benefits. Mint is a calming and soothing herb to help with an upset stomach or indigestion. 

Then, I add Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides to add some extra benefits. If you're not familiar with collagen peptides, they're a natural bioactive ingredient that improves epidermis moisture content and prevents skin aging, according to Vital Proteins' website.  I truly think that this product has transformed my overall skin texture. You can add it in your coffee, water, smoothies, or baked goods! 

Now that you know why each ingredient is beneficial to you, let's get right into the recipe!

Here's what you'll need:

  • 2 cups Fresh pineapple peeled, cored and cubed
  • 6-7 leaves Mint chopped
  • 1 Cup Ice
  • 1/4 Cup Water add more if needed
  • 2 Tbsp collagen peptides 
  • 1 lime (optional, to garnish) 

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Blend all ingredients together in the blender and serve

  2. Slice limes and place on glass. 

  3. Enjoy!
