Say goodbye to your basic blacks and neutrals for fall and winter because it’s all about making a statement by wearing bright colors this season! Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute stated, “the Fall/ Winter 2018 palette continues to show designers expressing the need for individuality, ingenuity and creativity through fashion. As designers and consumers alike continue to transition away from cyclical trends, and instead focus on self-expressive colors that evade antiquated seasonal structure,we are seeing very notable non-traditional choices.”
Pantone has a palette of 10 hot hues for fall, these include Red Pear, Valiant Poppy and Nebulas Blue followed by Ceylon Yellow, Martini Olive, Russet Orange and Ultra Violet. Next in line are Crocus Petal, Limelight and Quetzal Green.
You know I’m all about a trend, but I like to make it realistic. Which is why I pair a bold red pant with a striped blouse to give it a little bit of balance. I never like to pair two bold colors together unless I’m doing a mono-chromatic look.
