My Reflections From 2017 And Resolutions For 2018

This is the last video that I shot in 2017 and with that, I thought I’d take some time to reflect on the highs and lows of 2017 and my resolutions for 2018.

Reflections from 2017:

Three words that come to mind when I think about 2017 is craziness, content and introspective. Two very big things were birthed in 2017 including my baby Grey. I have a really good feeling about being content. My tribe of 5 is content and we’re strong, baby!

I birthed another baby, my book Everyday chic and that was a big baby that came out in October. It was a challenge but I’m beyond proud of it. This book reflects who I am today and the place I’m at with my career and family. I definitely had doubts when I was going through this process like “how am I going to get it all done?!” and “what if I don’t get it all done?!” And I’m so proud that I was able to make that sh*t happen! All of you guys see the beautiful glossy finished product but you don’t see the sweat and tears that go into it.

While I was on my book tour, someone mentioned that my family “looks so perfect.” I couldn’t help but laugh because what you don’t realize is that you see the best photo out of 300 that were taken.

Here’s exhibit A:

Resolutions for 2018:

Resolution #1: Trying to find more time to be with my husband. I get so wrapped up in my work and my life and the kids’ lives that I need to make it a priority to make more time to be with Stuber. And it’s so important to have that time together.

Resolution #2: No more procrastination and more time management! I’m going to get off my phone and be present! Time is what I value with family, friends and work so the more time I’m spending being in the moment, the more efficient I know that I’m going to be in all aspects of my life.

Resolution #3: I’m going to take a girls trip this year!! Yes, I said it… sorry Stuber! I don’t know where and I don’t when.. but I need all of you to hold me accountable to it!

I can’t even put my gratitude for all of you into words. Thank you to all of you who watch my videos, read my blog and follow me on Instagram! I love you all so much… now let’s kick some butt in 2018!
