Holiday Makeup Tutorial 2017

It's the holidays and that means it's time to bring your makeup look up a notch. I'm going to share how I bring together three of my favorite makeup trends this holiday season. We're going to do a rose gold metallic eye, dewy skin and a magenta lip to make sure your glam is on point for all of your holiday parties.

Step 1:  We're going to use ColourPop’s Golden State of Mind palette. I am absolutely obsessed with this palette and the fact that it’s affordable is a huge plus. This palette has every metallic eye shadow that you need to use throughout the year. I start with "Mind Tricks" just on the crease of my lid and then "Uptight" on the center of the lid. A little goes a long ways so start off with a little on your brush and then keep building.

Step 2:  I’m taking Lise Watier’s eye liner in cappuccino and putting it in my water line. I don’t like to put too much eyeliner on because it makes my eyes look a lot heavier than they are.

Step 3: You have heard me talk about Stila’s Liquid Glitter eyeshadow before, but this time we’re using a different color. It’s in their Kitten Karma shade. Remember, just like the palette… a little goes a long ways. You’re going to just dab it on the base of your eye on the top. It is absolutely gorgeous and such a staple for the holidays.

Step 4: I’m going to take the cult favorite from NARS, it’s their liquid blush in Dolce Vita. It’s the perfect browny/pink color that gives you the perfect pop of color on your cheeks. Then, take a wet beauty blender and sparingly pat on the apple of your cheeks. I have to say, you need to blend… blend… and blend.

Step 5: I’m going to use Becca’s Shimming Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter in “Champagne Pop.” Use the side of your beauty blender and blend on your cheekbone, brown bone and really just where you want the light to hit your face. It’s a great product to get beautiful and dewy skin.

Step 6: Using NARS’s precision lip liner in “Sainte-Maxime,” fill your entire lip with the liner. This will ensure that your lipstick stays on all night long!

Step 7: To enhance the color, I use Hourglass’ Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Refillable Lipstick in “I Can’t Wait.” This is one of my current favorite lipsticks because they’re refillable! Momma loves anything eco-friendly, right?! Not to mention, the gold applicator is extremely chic!
