My Favorite Bloggers + Their Best Halloween Tips

You guys know how much I love to support other bloggers and women in the industry, so I thought I’d share some of my favorite bloggers and their Halloween tips for this season!

Makeup: Sometimes for Halloween all you need is REALLY REALLY good makeup. Here are a few bloggers who nail the festive makeup tutorials.

I recently came across SAZAN HENDRIX – she’s a phenomenal makeup artist and has some amazing makeup tutorials—especially Halloween makeup tutorials.

Her cat makeup is so easy and fun, and I swear—anyone can do it! I know that being a cat is probably the most basic costume anyone can be, but with this makeup look, you’re going to be far from basic.

Kandee Johnson is the queen of costume makeup tutorials. She can transform herself into pretty much any character you can think of – so, for those of you who want to be a Barbie, Elsa,  or even an OompaLoompa … this is where you need to go. She is absolutely unbelievable.

For Costumes: Even if you have your makeup done to a tee, you still need a costume to go with it.

Everyone knows that Lauren Conrad is the queen of DIY Halloween costumes. This year she came up with DIY Circus Performer Costumes that are beyond creative! There’s a pastel circus ballerina, a mime and a tightrope walker. Get your girls together before Halloween and you can create this group costume together. Grab some rose, make some food and you’re set for a DIY Halloween costume making party!

You all probably know how much I love my girl Chriselle LimEverything she does is so chic and innovative. While I was doing research for this blog, I came across a Halloween tutorial she did a while back and I thought one word… GENIUS. She used iconic looks from the ‘20s, ‘50s, and ’60s with items that she had in her own closet. I don’t know about you guys, but I really get tired of buying a costume year after year and I throw it in my donate pile as soon as I’m done with it. This is a great idea for those who like to reuse what you already have in your closet with no extra money spent.

For Food and Décor: It’s not a Halloween party without some décor and yummy food.

I always go to The Fashionable Hostess for all things décor. Just this week she posted spooky Halloween cookies, which look TO DIE FOR. I can’t wait to make these for my little ones. My kids love cookies but they love cookies that have festive decorations on them even more.

Sugar & Cloth has the cutest DIY sequin pumpkin dot idea. It is so simple but looks extremely chic—which you all know I’m ALL about. It’s so easy that you can get your entire family involved for an arts and crafts evening.
