#DesignInspired: Winter Plum & Brass

In celebration of Scott and our dear friend, Brandt Joel’s birthdays I decided to host an intimate evening with friends at our home.

Whenever I’m in the mood to entertain, I reach out to Stefanie Cove for inspiration. She always adds her own personal and unique touch by doing things I would NEVER think of!

When Stefanie pitched the idea of plums and burgundies for a joint birthday for two men I wasn’t so sure. Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s all about mixing the masculine and the feminine together to create the best of both.

I’m all about a floral arrangement and it’s honestly what I spend the most time on. Alison Franchi of Le Petite Gardenia was able to get the most beautiful purple ranunculus, tulips, and burgundy peonies. Wooden vases, gold candle holders, distressed brown votives, and the mauve napkins tied in the masculinity.

For the menu and place settings, East Six Invitations kept it simple with creme and mauve.

Umm…can we talk about this bar piece? Alison used a wooden log to hold the ranunculus flowers within moss and privet berries. So amazing!

So, you’re probably wondering what the guys thought of the theme of the night. The answer is…YES!!! They absolutely loved it.  Scott may not be happy about being almost 50 but he’s still lookin’ pretty good if you ask me! Love, love, love him.
