Summer time is here, my friends, and it seems that every weekend, we are headed off to another kid’s birthday party. Since Brooks came along, I’ve extended the age range of my good gifting mojo. I’ve compiled for you my top picks (and a couple of tips of course) for summer lovin’ kiddie style.
Bubbles, bubbles everywhere! Brooks is a bubble aficionado. If it makes bubbles, we probably have it. We go through so many bubbles at our house you would think we are a car wash. We literally run out. I seriously need to put bubbles on Amazon subscribe and save! We are big fans of the the large bubble wands, which are really great to play with when friends come over and are even more perfect to give away as gifts or even as party favors.
I would say that Brooks’ favorite music instrument for bubble madness is the Fisher Price Bubble Mower. If only this toy actually cut the grass! Our lawn would be more well manicured than the infield at Dodger Stadium!
Quick Tip: Get a gift receipt. Don’t take it personally! You never know if someone else has the same gift giving idea as you do. Tape it to the lid or place it in the card.
When buying clothing as a gift, I always aim to find the recipient something special and unique. Something they wouldn’t necessarily buy for themselves. The same goes for kids’ clothes. And there’s no place I love more than Eggy a real gem. The store is so well curated that I literally gush about every piece on display. And though the store is small, they carry a wide array of designers so I feel like it’s a one-stop shop for everyone—from the Boho Berkley toddler to the pink-loving girlie girl. It is my favorite place for finding a special, well-made gift. See below for some of my favorite pieces.
Quick Tip: Go with a theme! the host/hostess has given you a huge clue of what the kid is bananas for by the invitation. If it is covered with Curious George, then don’t monkey around with your gift decision.
The Wheels on the bus, train, truck, car, and everything in between are currently the apples of my son’s eye, which makes me the perfect mama to suggest a few wheeled vehicles for your gifting pleasure.
Bruder Trucks: iconic replicas of all types of trucks from construction to agriculture. Tuff and sturdy these toys will last a long time. Hopefully long enough for a younger sibling to enjoy! I just ordered this one for Brooksie’s birthday. Ssshhh!! Don’t tell him.
I’m a big fan of sets, especially when it comes to cars (the more the merrier). Brooks fell in love with Tow Mater when we recently went to Disneyland. This 5 car set is perfect homage to our 4 wheeled pals from Radiator Springs.
