I’m excited to announce that I have joined the Valspar Color Project! Benefiting Habitat for Humanity, the Color Project shows just how powerful color can be. Everyone knows how much I love color. It’s truly a reflection of my personality. But, more importantly, this project is about helping low-income families create affordable housing – something I am passionate about.
As a mom-to-be, I needed to get my nursery ready (perfect timing) and I chose my baby’s new surroundings as the perfect project to transform. I worked with Kishani Perera, and together, we chose Valspar Paint color Zen Garden for the nursery. It reminds me of grassy playgrounds, meadows, and playgrounds with swings. The color changes my mood the minute I walk in the door by bringing a light and airy feel and sense of peacefulness to my baby’s nursery.
Equally important was the paint I used. I used Valspar+ – it’s asthma and allergy friendly with zero VOC, no linger odor and it makes a mold and mildew resistant finish. I felt good about choosing this product for my baby’s nursery.
Helping people can show just how powerful color can be, and that’s why I hope you’ll watch and share my Zen Garden Color Story. Every time you do, Valspar will donate $1.00 to Habitat for Humanity. With my goal of $100,000 it’s easy – just watch the video by clicking the image above, be inspired, and share! And don’t forget to Pick Your Passion and see a customized color palette that fits you!
