Just like skincare, lip color isn’t one size fits all. The hue all depends on your skin undertone. A great orange-red could look stunning on one person and horrible on another.

So, how do you find your skin’s undertone? Everyone has either a cool or warm tone. A good way to find out is to look at the veins on your wrist. If they look green, you have a warmer or yellow undertone. If they look blue, you have a pink undertone. OR if you have a little of both, you are neutral so anything goes!

This skin tone looks gorgeous with a bold red or deeper shade. If you have a fairer skin tone, try to stay away from lighter colors because you will end up looking washed out.

OLIVE SKIN TONE

If you have an olive skin tone, consider yourself lucky! Basically, everything will look great on you. Try a great bold red, pink, peach, nude, and one of my personal favorites—a pretty red-orange. DARK SKIN TONE

Deeper shades look super flattering on a dark skin tone. Think berry colors or bright reds with a blue undertone to them. Just like fair skin, avoid anything too light because of contrast.
